We are looking for a detailed Accounts Payable Clerk for all Domestic Companies within our organization, as directed by the North American Controller. Essential functions include:

1. Responsible to collect documentation related to accounts payable.

2. Responsible to obtain proper authorizations and G/L coding for expenditures.

3. Authorized to prepare disbursement checks.

4. Authorized to prepare wire payments.

5. Responsible to maintain documentation files related to payables.

6. Responsible to investigate discrepancies in documentation.

7. Authorized to make petty cash disbursements up to $500.00, as well as reconcile and replenish.

8. Authorized to respond to vendor inquiries regarding accounts.

9. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure completeness of invoices due to vendors.

10. Responsible to learn, understand, and apply Use Tax as it relates to invoices within the states that we have physical locations.

11. Perform Accounts Payable Aging review to ensure appropriateness of aging and to detect discrepancies.

12. Review Uninvoiced posted receipts report to ensure inventory receipts are invoiced in a timely manner.

13. Ensure that all Domestic intercompany accounts payable accounts reconcile at the end of each month.

14. Responsible for preparing bank reconciliations for domestic entity bank accounts each month.

15. Provide training to junior Accounts Payable Clerks.

Requirements

Education:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Preferred: 2 years college or Associates Degree

Work Experience Required:

* 3 year general accounting clerk or equivalent experience in an office environment
* Preferred: 1 year as an AP Accounting Clerk

Skills and general experience:

* Computer (spreadsheet, word processor), reading, basic mathematics, phone skills, general clerical skills, filing, 10-key, typing (30 pm), ability to prioritize tasks, and attention to detail is mandatory.
* Also, requires strong verbal and written communication skill.
