Phillips Edison's operating platform provides retail services including acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of grocery-anchored retail centers.
What you'll do:
The Accounts Receivable Intern will report to the Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst and will work with other team members in person in our Cincinnati, OH office.
* Assist the Accounts Receivable Analyst with recording daily bank transactions.
* Review cash applications on tenant accounts and identify any issues.
* Research tenant/CSS (Customer Solutions Specialist) inquiries and complete application of payments and/or credits.
* Reconcile tenants' ledgers with the assistance of the Accounts Receivable Analyst
* Answer internal business partners questions regarding cash postings.
* Develops and maintains cross-functional relationships within the organization.
* Assists with ad hoc reporting and other special projects as assigned.
What you'll learn:
* Gain a better understanding of the role accounts receivables plays in the broader scope of the company.
* Gain experience with our MRI system.
* Further develop time management skills and the ability to work in a high-volume detail-oriented environment.
* Learn how to effectively communicate with different departments in the organization.
What we're looking for:
* A current undergraduate student who is able to work full-time and in person during the semester.
* A current university student enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Accounting or another business-related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high-volume environment.
* Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team (as needed)
