Assistant Athletic Fields Groundskeeper

ROLE SUMMARY
Provide assistance to the Athletic Fields Groundskeeper and Director of Facilities for Regents School of Austin.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate vehicles and powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, chain saws, electric clippers, and pruning saws.
- Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers.
- Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls.
- Athletic field painting.
- Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
- Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
- Gather and remove litter.
- Clean and maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools.
- Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders.
- Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, or other grounds features.
- Set-up/take-down for events that may include tables, chairs, sound equipment, ect
- Ensure a locked and secure campus
- Able to work independently
- Misc. duties as assigned
Experience and Skills
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a Christian
- Knowledge of irrigation systems helpful
- High School Diploma / GED required
- Valid Driver's License required
- We will provide paid training

Nashville Statement: A Coalition for Biblical Sexuality - This was adopted by the Board in 2019 as clarifying language on our view of biblical sexuality.
