Join Avera as a Lead - Behavioral Health Technician to join our Team

Position Highlights:

* Work directly with patients to provide services in a compassionate manner.
* Work collaboratively with other members of the team.
* Student Loan Repayment: This position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

Job Summary

* To provide physical and psychological care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.

Education and/or Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, criminal justice, education, behavior analysis, health or social sciences, counseling, alcohol studies, liberal arts, or any other human services and/or medical field is required.
* Preferred candidates will have clinical experience, facilitating group therapy sessions and knowledge and skills in crisis management.
* Preferred candidates will also have experience working with clients having dual diagnosis disorders (substance use disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions)

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

* South Dakota Professional License (Social Work, Nursing, Counseling or Psychology) preferred.
* Certification as a South Dakota Addiction Counselor Trainee, Certified Addiction Counselor or Licensed Addiction Counselor is required.

Work Schedule

* Day/Evening/Night Shifts: every 4th weekend, every other holiday; 72 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

* $21.50 - $32.50 per hour
