Inpatient Facility Medical Coder

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures to ensure accurate coding.
- Review and resolve coding edits and denials.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory changes.
- A minimum of 5 years of inpatient facility coding experience.
- Certification from AHIMA (CCA, CCS) or AAPC (CPC, CIC) required.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
