Job Summary:

Acts as a liaison between the patients, callers and physicians. Maintains and coordinates with other teams the doctors' master calendar and the day-to-day operations and work flow within the doctors' office. Works as part of the support staff team and offers cross-coverage to other staff members as needed. Act as liaison between patient and physician, creates and maintains all physician templates and pre-certifies all major diagnostic exams, physical and occupational therapy, durable medical equipment and counsel patients prior to appointment regarding financial responsibility.

Job Requirements:
  • Communicates with all new and established patients to schedule their office appointments.
  • Appointments are scheduled via phone utilizing our scheduling system (IDX).
  • Responds to all request for appointments.
  • Assist in Maintaining/coordinating master physician schedule
  • Assist in maintaining daily physician schedules
  • Coordinate appointment availability to provide timely appointment and improve patient experience
  • Prospectively informs all new and established patients about the practice's payment at the time of service policy, and ensures they understand they are to arrive with their referral form, etc.
  • Informs the patient of financial responsibility, if the physician doesn't participate with the patient's specific insurance plan.
  • Obtains patient's insurance, demographic, workers compensation and no-fault information and enters the data into the IDX system with 100% completeness and accuracy.
  • Verify all new and established patients' insurance eligibility
  • Email or mail welcome letters/packets for all new patients scheduled for an appointment.
  • Responsible for appointment reminder phone calls to patients; one to two day prior to their scheduled appointments.
  • Handle re-scheduling of all patients when the physician has to cancel or alter office hours.
  • Answer all essential questions relating to the patient's insurance, appointment or the physician.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Working knowledge/proficiency of Medical Terminology.
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills, and the ability to set priorities among multiple competing objectives, tasks and initiatives is required.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong customer service orientation and the ability to deliver consistent exceptional service while demonstrating tact, respect and sensitivity.
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) or similar software is required and an ability and willingness to learn new systems and programs.
  • Prior experience in EPIC is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Hourly Rate Ranges: $21.63 - $32.23

Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education.
