Salary range -$17.95-$24.86

We're seeking a Anesthesia Technologist for Emory Saint Joseph Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety and care for all patients.

This individual will:

* Performs all duties as an Anesthesia Technician I and II, including set up and support of equipment in all anesthetizing locations, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines.
* Follows established procedures for equipment inspection. Tests equipment to ensure that it remains in proper operating condition.
* Performs lower level troubleshooting and takes corrective action to prevent hazardous situations. Ensures the availability of expendable laboratory and monitoring supplies by inspecting inventories and initiating purchase requisitions.
* Responds to emergency service requests made after regular working hours on a rotating basis. Assists in transporting post-operative patients to the Intensive Care Unit.
* Follows sterile technique principles and other infection control policies and standards to maintain a healthy work environment Takes required precautions in keeping with JCAHO, organizational and other safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment.
* Equipment Checks: Responsibility Description: Performs daily apparatus equipment checks.
* Sets up and calibrate hemodynamic monitoring lines: Responsibility Description: Able to prep setup by purging free of air and calibrate before use.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* Associates Degree in a related field and five (5) years of work experience as an Anesthesia Technologist or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
