Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Technologist to join our team at Emory University Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and care of patients undergoing anesthesia procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and support anesthesia equipment in all anesthetizing locations, including invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines.
  • Test equipment to ensure proper operating condition and perform lower-level troubleshooting to prevent hazardous situations.
  • Ensure the availability of expendable laboratory and monitoring supplies by inspecting inventories and initiating purchase requisitions.
  • Respond to emergency service requests made after regular working hours on a rotating basis.
  • Take required precautions in keeping with JCAHO, organizational, and other safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment.
  • Perform daily apparatus equipment checks.
  • Prepare the anesthesia machine for procedures in the operating room and offsite areas.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Three (3) years of work experience as an Anesthesia Technician or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
