Position: Child Behavioral Consultant - Licensed Social Worker - CIS
Reports to: Building Principals, Directors
Position Type: 185 Days, Teacher Pay Scale
Salary: Per Negotiated Agreement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in social worker, mental health/clinical counselor, or family studies with BCBA certification preferred.
- Three or more years experience working with students with children with significant social emotional deficits.
- Effective communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and professional presence during stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to analyze data and write reports.
- Ability to collaborate with parents, school personnel and outside agency providers.
Purpose and Overall Duties:
The Child Behavioral Health Specialist will serve on a multi-disciplinary team to provide assistance with the implementation of PBIS, social-emotional learning standards and provide staff coaching specific to classroom behavior supports for children identified as needing tier 1 and 2 social emotional supports. Will work with families to understand the nature of behavior and how it impacts a child's ability to learn, and promotes collaboration between the family, school personnel and outside agency providers, when applicable.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must have understanding of the PBIS foundation as it applies to schools.
- Must have experience coaching parents, staff and students about basic classroom management, individualized support for the social emotional needs for students and carry over in the home.
- Must have the ability to develop, implement and monitor lesson plans specific to the Ohio Department of Education Social- Emotional learning standards for students with significant social emotional deficits.
- Must have the ability to collaborate with school personnel, parents, and outside agency providers.
- Must be able to communicate in writing and orally with parents, staff and outside agency providers.
- Must be able to navigate staff, students and parents through students heightened responses to negative situations.
- Must have experience providing direct support to students with significant social emotional deficits.
- Must have experience and general knowledge about collecting, and using data to make decisions to support the social emotional needs of students with significant social emotional deficits.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties as assigned.
