MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - JOB DESCRIPTION

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Reports to: General Manager

Special Requirements:

* Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
* Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Member Services Representative be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
* Handle all front desk related activities including:
* Answering phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
* Checking members into the system.
* New member sign-up.
* Taking prospective members on tours.


* Facilitate needed updates to member's accounts.
* Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
* Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain neatness and cleanliness of the club
* Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency
* Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

* Exceptional customer service skills; ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the members expectations.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.
* Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.
* A passion for fitness and health
* Upbeat, professional and positive attitude
* Punctuality and reliability and must.
* Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
* Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic
* High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
* Must be 18 years of age or older

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals.

PHYSICAL: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk and stand, for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; occasionally to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amount of weight (up to 50lbs); and to verbally communicate in person or on the phone to exchange information. Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of medical emergency.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
