The Human Services Pathway Support Specialist is responsible for providing administrative and direct client service support for the Human Services Pathway (HSP) program. The HSP program currently offers individuals the opportunity to obtain the Strengths-Based Family Worker credential from Temple University Harrisburg, which prepares them to work in various Human Services-related positions. Primary duties will include tasks such as the development/delivery of career readiness curriculum, recruitment, intake/assessment of new candidates, data entry, workshop facilitation, and case management as needed. This position will play a vital role in assisting management as it expands and converts the existing program into a registered apprenticeship handling duties related to application paperwork, operational preparation, and content creation.

The Human Services Pathway Support Specialist will create and facilitate soft-skills workshops that will include Digital Literacy, various employment/job readiness topics and Customer Service as well as new initiatives that may arise in the future. This role provides direct service support to pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship students during their engagement within the program to ensure they receive a high-quality educational experience. Also, this position works primarily with HSP students but may support other programs as needed such as a Dual Enrollment college initiative and/or other new programs.

This position reports to the Manager of Training and Post Secondary Education. This is an ONSITE position.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or GED/HISET required, Associate Degree in a human services-related major preferred.

Minimum Experience:

1-3 years' experience of customer/client-facing work required.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Word and Excel, required.

Experience in data entry or data-related positions preferred.

Knowledge of the Latino and urban community of Philadelphia preferred.

Certification/License:

Strengths-Based Family Worker Credential certification required, but can be obtained upon hiring.
