**Job Summary**:
Directs, develops, and manages leadership development opportunities and pathways to meet the needs of the School District of Philadelphia. Prepares, assesses the needs of and supports aspiring and appointed leaders through a variety of leadership programs that are aligned to the Pennsylvania Framework for Leadership and the District’s principal competencies. Provides leadership and direction in the implementation of activities designed to develop the talent of aspiring and appointed leaders. Work involves formulating and implementing a strategic plan to meet the short-term and long-term needs of the School District. Work additionally involves determining training and personnel development needs for each stage of the District’s leadership pipeline.

**Essential Functions**:

- Develops a responsive District-wide Pathway to Leadership Program, including the formal launch of the Pathway to Leadership Principal Preparation Program.
- Leads the creation and coordination of all aspects of the Pathway to Leadership Principal Preparation Program, including the recruitment, selection, support, and retention of program participants.
- Coordinates the collaborative planning and development of program participants with university partners, District mentor principals, Leadership Coaches, and other District offices.
- Works with District leadership to assess and evaluate program effectiveness, and its alignment with the continued calibration of the Leadership Pathway Framework to ensure strong alignment.
- Serves the primary liaison between current university partners and cultivates new relationships with new university partners.
- Facilitates advisory groups to support with the advisement of current programming and the design of future programming, including the convening of university partners and key leadership stakeholders within the SDP ecosystem.
- Collaborates with and holds partners accountable to provide high-quality level coursework which provides the knowledge and skills necessary to be a successful leader within SDP and become certified as an administrator by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE).
- Leads the design and execution of ongoing professional learning and mentorship opportunities for both program participants and other aspiring school leaders.
- Develops a District leadership tracking system to capture and analyze aspiring school leaders to support in their recruitment, development, and retention, particularly for the identified targeted population.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Master’s degree program from an accredited college or university.
- Seven years of full-time, paid, professional experience in an urban educational setting which have included responsibility for planning, developing and implementing professional development programs for adult learners to improve the delivery of instructional services in alignment with organizational initiatives, three of which have been in school leadership.
