Position Title: Heroes Hall Exhibit Attendant

Rate of Pay: $16.50 per hour

Position Purpose:

Provides a variety of support to the Exhibits Program including safeguarding building entrances/exits, answering questions from the public, conducting tours of the museum and courtyard, and completing clerical tasks as needed. This is a seasonal/temporary position not exceed 122 days.

Work Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday, hours between 10:00am - 11:00pm

Essential Functions:

* During events, safeguards exhibits and watches building entrances and exits.
* Provides information about the exhibit to the public and answers questions about the exhibit, the event and the property.
* Provide guided tours to guests.
* Facilitate learning activities for children.
* May clean a variety of exhibit structures and props, prepares them for use, installs them where instructed, and dismantles at the end of an event.
* May provide basic clerical assistance as needed.
* Greet guests that visit Heroes Hall.
* Monitor guests for buildings maximum capacity.

Qualifications:

* Must be at least 16 years old.
* Previous experience working with the public.
* Must possess excellent customer service skills.
* Strong teamwork skills.
* Available all 23 days during the OC Fair (mid July- mid August).
* Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as required by events and programs.

Preferences:

* Previous experience in a related field.
* Some clerical experience preferred, including the ability to type, file, and answer phones.
* Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Will work in a fast-paced environment in both indoor and outdoor areas during all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud, particularly when working outdoors or in an exhibit building.
