The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a temporary Legal Intern for our Local Media division. This person will check political advertising and FCC filings. This is a hybrid position based in DC area. Remote applicants will be considered.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

* Work with VP/Deputy General Counsel and VP/Distribution to audit, update and interpret FCC broadcast rules and regulations as it pertains to managing broadcast stations public files for federal candidates, local candidates and issues of national importance.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

* Bachelor's degree required.


* JD degree (or 2nd or 3rd year law student working towards law degree)



WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

* Start date 6//24 and end date 11/22/24.


* Detail oriented.


* Proven flexibility, initiative and self-reliance.


* Strong verbal and written communication skills.


* This position will be around 30 - 40 hours a week.


* Remote work will be considered.


* This is an hourly position.
