We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Collections Clerk to join our team. The Collections Clerk will be responsible for managing accounts receivable by ensuring timely payment of outstanding invoices and debts owed to the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

* Contact customers to remind them of overdue payments via phone, email, or mail.
* Negotiate payment plans or arrangements with customers to facilitate timely payment.
* Update account information and maintain accurate records of communication with customers.
* Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing, payments, or account balances.
* Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection efforts based on account status.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as sales or customer service, to address billing or payment-related concerns.
* Prepare reports on accounts receivable status, payment trends, and collection activities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Proven experience in collections or accounts receivable preferred.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and experience with accounting software preferred.
