Novant Health seeks a full-time Pulmonary Function Tech at Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

Schedule details:

7:00am - 5:00pm; 4 days per week. No weekends

The Pulmonary Function Technologist utilizes best scientific evidence and nationally recognized diagnostic test standards to complete pulmonary function testing in a laboratory environment and at the bedside. The Pulmonary Function Technologist accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

Qualifications

* Education: Graduate from an accredited school for respiratory care, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
* Experience: Two years acute care respiratory therapist experience, required. Two years experience in a pulmonary function laboratory, preferred.
* Licensure/certification/registration: Registered by national board of respiratory care, required. Cert Pulmonary Function Tech or Reg Pulmonary. Function Tech by NBRC (must have within 1yr hire), required.
* Additional skills required: RCP licensure in appropriate state.

Responsibilities

The Pulmonary Function Technologist serves as an intricate member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized respiratory plan of care that promotes optimal health.
