Summary:

The Fire Protection Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Inspections for the Testing department at ARK Systems. This job operates in a professional climate-controlled office environment in Columbia, MD from 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Effectively coordinate and schedule a team of inspection technicians.
* View open ticket reports to aide in scheduling manpower for inspections and testing of low voltage systems.
* Coordinate testing with sub-contractors as required.
* Communicate effectively with the Sr. Contracts Coordinators and Lead Technicians to identify and resolve scheduling issues.
* Answer customer calls and follow through on their requests.
* Provide customer service and maintain positive relationships with Property Managers and Building Engineers.
* Support the Sales Staff regarding scheduling needs for customers.

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Must have knowledge of office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, at a level generally acquired through 3+ years related experience.
* Some analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work.
* Good oral/written communication skills are necessary. Must be able to work in a high volume/fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Should be comfortable answering a phone and making calls for potential entirety of shift.
* Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
* Must have a positive and respectful attitude and maintain good working relationships with management staff and employees.

Education and Experience:

* 1-2 years of scheduling/dispatching experience.
* Able to thrive in a high volume/fast paced environment.
* Detail oriented, flexible, organized, driven and multi-tasker.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
* Self-starter, critical thinker, team player and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
