Responsibilities

Provide services to patients within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal

regulations, under the direct supervision of a registered tech.

* Prepare and position patients and selects exposure factors accurately.
* Implement radiation protection and safety standards within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
* Prepare for and assists the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging

procedures.
* Prepare and administers contrast media and medications.
* Position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
* Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area in the department.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

* High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
