Job: Furniture Delivery Specialist

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Position Reports to: Operations Manager

Work Location: Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

The Furniture Delivery Specialist's primary responsibility is to deliver, pick up, and install housewares and furniture within CWS standards and procedures safely and efficiently.

  • Pull, inspect, and load/unload furniture and housewares on/off company vehicles.
  • Perform and complete work orders within CWS standards and procedures while using the company's mobile field service/ERP system.
  • Inspect assigned vehicle daily before and after usage, maintain vehicle log, and report any problems to the operations manager. Operate all company vehicles in a professional, safe, and courteous manner including utilizing team members to spot when driving the box truck in reverse and parking. Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle.
  • Maintain furniture, housewares, tooling, and moving equipment inventory and report to the supervisor of any supply requirements to perform daily tasks.
  • Report to the supervisor of any damaged inventory discovered while performing a service such as during a reset/turn clean, maid service, or delivery/pick-up.
  • Perform housekeeping duties which include reset/turn cleans, touch up cleans, and maid services and prepare housewares kits as needed.
  • Product care including cleaning housewares, washing linens, and troubleshooting electronics.
  • Follow bed bug protocol and procedures.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse including furniture, housewares, and equipment.
  • Evaluate damages and select appropriate methods of repair and/or restoration for furniture. Cleaning of furniture per procedures. Assemble/disassemble furniture as needed.
  • Travel to business regions to complete job-related tasks as needed including overnight stays.
  • Responsible for safety procedures and bring any unsafe working conditions to the attention of management immediately.

Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5:30pm

This job operates in a warehouse and apartment community work environment. This role routinely uses household cleaning supplies and may be exposed to dust, fumes, and gases prevalent in apartment communities. This job requires maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling, bending at the neck, waist, arms, legs, transporting an object, lifting up to 75 lbs., ascending or descending stairs, and ramps.

Education/Certification: High School diploma or GED or equivalent

Experience Preferred: At least 1 years of furniture moving industry is highly preferred. Experience in property maintenance management, or in housekeeping is a plus.

Requirement: Ability to pass background, drug and driving record check annually, as per company policy andguidelines.Must maintain a valid and unexpired driver's license that meets company driving standards and maintain current automobile insurance and registration.
