Franklin Community Health Group, a department of Franklin Memorial Hospital, is seeking a full time BC/BE Family Medicine Physician to provide care at our office based Farmington Family Practice located in Farmington, Maine.

Greater Franklin County is tucked in the beautiful western mountain foothills of Maine. One of the most spectacular places in New England, Greater Franklin County is a charming four-season region offering numerous opportunities for its 40,000 residents, including a nationally-acclaimed health care system, the pristine Rangeley lakes region, panoramic views and bustling downtown with a distinct local flavor and the home of the University of Maine at Farmington. The area offers some of the most breathtaking natural beauty and outdoor recreation found anywhere in a safe community environment.

This non-OB, Outpatient Family Medicine Practice is located on the Franklin Memorial Hospital campus and services include physical exams, women's health exams, sick visits, well-child visits, school and sports physicals and management of chronic health conditions. Blood work and lab services are on site, and inpatient care is at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The practice includes a skilled licensed clinical social worker to help facilitate behavioral health needs for their patients, allowing the entire health care team to work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients in the community. Come be a part of our dynamic team of providers, which includes three family medicine physicians, two physician assistants, and a care support nurse for chronic disease education working with exceptional support staff. Call requirements are 1:6 and providers will occasionally make nursing home rounds. The position offers teaching opportunities of nurse practitioners/physician assistants as well as medical students from University of New England's UNECOM program and Tufts University Medical School program.

We offer competitive salary and benefits, including student loan repayment and relocation assistance. Additionally, we are a designated National Health Service Corps site which allow primary care physicians to participate in additional competitive loan repayment programs through NHSC.

Franklin Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed, critical care community hospital with a 50-member medical staff, with patient volume drawing from a wide geographic region with 40,000 people. Deliveries are performed in a modern hospital birthing unit with a full staff of OB/GYN providers, and the hospital is equipped with the latest ultrasound and multi-detector CT scanners as well as state-of-the-art operative laparoscopy equipment.
