Program Overview
LISA Inc, a division of Community Solutions, Inc. is looking for an experienced, organized and multifaceted Youth Residential Supervisor to join our LISA's SAIL program in Meriden,CT and lead our Youth Advocates and Case Managers in the program. At LISA's SAIL we work directly and collaboratively with young adults to help them develop daily living skills, work through problems and issues, navigate daily living/personal challenges, and coordinate and/or provide transportation as needed. As a team, the staff work to support the facilitation of goals set on individual service plans and work closely with team members to ensure a safe and effective program for our clients.
Position Overview
* Conducts onboarding activities including but not limited to verifying I9 paperwork, performing orientation activities and training newly hired staff in program policies and procedures.
* Monitors staff performance, provides documented supervisions in accordance with Agency policy and delivers progressive discipline when appropriate.
* Assists program director in training staff on safety and security procedures, ongoing staff trainings, client supervision, client paperwork, and direct care shift responsibilities.
* Updates and provides regular feedback to program director on staff work performance and behavior.
* Coordinates scheduling of all staff to ensure approved staffing patterns and ratios are met.
* Maintains a caseload and performs duties related to intake, screening and assessment, orientation, service and discharge planning, resource management, facility maintenance and delivery of services for assigned clients.
* Assists program director as needed in developing, leading and supervising client meetings, program services and life instruction sessions. Facilitates, monitors and evaluates group activities on an as needed basis.
* Supports in the development of an emotionally and physically safe environment for staff and clients.
* Ensures that the tenets and philosophy of a strengths based, gender responsive, relational, trauma informed program are developed and maintained in the program and within the services offered;
* Monitors shift operations for compliance with Agency policy and procedure, applicable standards and relevant contractual policy.
* Monitors staff compliance with policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of clients, Agency property and the community.
* Provides guidance and direction to program staff and identifies any gaps in services and areas of improvements.
* Oversees staff response to shift problems and emergency incidents.
* Assists program director in setting agenda and participating in staff meetings.
* Supervises and communicates with staff to ensure proper facility operations are implemented according to schedule, and that services and approaches are delivered in accordance with funder requirements, Agency policy and program procedures.
* Acts as a liaison with funder, community agencies, legal representatives, and family, cultural, religious and spiritual organizations.
* Performs duties of program director, as assigned, during periods of his/her absence.
* Provides on-call coverage to the program.
Schedule: 40 hours
Salary: $50,220.45 / annually
Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in a social science field and two years experience in case management or similar field. Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis.
* One year experience in management and supervision of staff or three years of case management experience.
* Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills desired.
* Ability to engage and develop collaborations with community agencies.
* Previous assessment experience preferred
* Experience with Microsoft Office.
* COVID19 vaccination or a negative test prior to start.
Additional Benefits
* Two (2) weeks vacation accrued within the first year, bumped to three (3) weeks accrual after 1 year of service.
