Psychologist Supervisor

Variable (flexible) Schedule - Likely 1st or 2nd shift (occasionally weekends depending on need)
Large campus, walking required.

Facility still houses adults but only accepts children as new patients. May be exposed to unpredictable resident actions.

JOB DUTIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE: (These duties are illustrative only. Incumbents may perform some

Supervises psychology staff (i.e., psychologi sts, psychology assistants, stu dents & trainee s) including scheduling &
assigning work, monitoring services provided, reviewing work & evaluating performance, recruiting, interviewing & hiring
new psychology staff, recommending transfers, Client offs, promotions, disciplinary actions & rewards & plans, directs &
provides training & staff development programs.
Plans, develops, implements, administers & assesses psychological programs, services & reseClienth activities & write s
policies & establishes procedures on delivery of psychological services.
Consults with administration & staff on matters p ertaining to psycholo gical unit, represents p sychological unit a t
meetings, conferences, seminars & workshops & provides information & a dvice on psychological matters to oth er
divisions, agencies, community organizations & other interested parties.
MAJOR WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
Knowledge of clinical psychology; counseling; psycho diagnostics; psychotherapy; interviewing; statistics;
project/program management; employee training & development. Ability to understand abstract field of study; writ e
meaningful, concise & accurate reports; write instructions, specifications, or technical manuals; define problems, collect
data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; recognize unusual or threatening conditions & take appropriate action;
counsel others on sensitive matters; interpret extensive variety of technical matters in books, journals & manuals.

MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT:
License to practice p sychology in Ohio pursuant to Section 4732.09 and 4732.21 of revised code; 12 mos. exp. as a
licensed psychologist; 1 course in employee trg. & d evelopment or 3 mos. exp. providing work direction & training or
supervision to psychology students, assistants, or psychologists.
