2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
SUMMARY: The Avionic Technician III must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/ regulations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics/accessories/oxygen equipment.
* Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
* Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hangar positions
* Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures
* Participate in 5-S activities
* Perform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner
* Operate ground support equipment as required
* Assist with mechanical / electrical removals and installations
* Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed
* Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed
* Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):
* Bachelor's degree
* 5+ year of relevant/technical work experience OR
* An additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
* The ability to teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft accessory/avionic/oxygen units to the component level.
* Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings
* Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
* Must be computer literate, and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):
* Master's degree
* 8+ years of specific work experience
* Strong knowledge of avionic components
* Strong knowledge of accessory components
* Strong knowledge of oxygen components
* Digital selector panels
* FCC General Radio Telephone license
OTHER (INCLUDE LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, SECURITY CLEARANCE, TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS, ETC.):
* The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
