The IDBT Program is a 12-18 month program for adults who are diagnosed with a personality disorder utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The program offers education and treatment in behavioral management, emotional regulation, and improved relational functioning. Treatment consists of Individual and Group therapy by clinicians intensively trained in DBT. All members of our team are Intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Experience treating clients with a personality disorder diagnosis and/or training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a bonus, but we do provide training for applicants who have an interest in working with this population.

In this position, you will provide trauma-informed, person-centered counseling/case management to clients served within an FBH outpatient program. Develop and implement treatment plans, coordinate and assist clients with obtaining services, provide client education, and conduct risk assessments while measuring client progress toward established goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES includes but are not limited to the following.

  • Provide trauma-informed, person-centered counseling utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Identify and include the client's support network and applicable involved community partners in care coordination.
  • Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources which will meet their needs.
  • Assist clients in the development of healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Provide client education on mental disorders and support with symptom management.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with community resources on behalf of clients.
  • Manage caseload and meet productivity standard in accordance with agency program guidelines.
  • Develop and implement care plans, measurable objectives and obtainable goals, in collaboration with the client, evaluating clients progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement safety plans and interventions as needed.
  • Facilitate and co-facilitate client treatment groups.
  • Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner, in accordance with agency policies and practices.
  • Operate as a member of multi-disciplinary team and ensure services are provided in the community and clinical setting in compliance with any treatment models for Clinician II positions in any specialty program
  • Accept delegation and follow through with specific expanded assignments and responsibilities within FBH system such as quality improvements teams, task groups, committees, consultations, mentoring or training responsibilities.
  • Maintain professional credentials, including continuing education as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

REQUIRED:
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field from accredited college or university.
  • Must apply for Agency Affiliation within 30 days of hire and obtain Agency Affiliation within 90 day of hire.

PREFERRED:
  • Two years of experience providing clinical behavioral health services preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of service delivery models of including; groups, skills training, brief/focused therapy, community-based intervention for children and/or adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
  • Knowledge of Washington Administrative Codes and statutes pertaining to the treatment and delivery of mental health services.
  • Knowledge of and experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy modalities.
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of varied, backgrounds, trauma experiences, cultures, education level and socio-economical status.
  • Some positions require travel between work sites or to see clients in the community. Clinicians working in such positions must have reliable transportation, insurance and an active drivers' license and be willing to use personal vehicle in the course of work.

PAY RANGE (Hourly/ Non-Exempt):*

Mental Health Clinician II - No Licensure: $30.91 - $34.79

Mental Health Clinician III - Licensure: $32.72 - $36.82

*All pay is based on longevity at Frontier Behavioral Health; thus the starting pay is as follows:

Mental Health Clinician II - No Licensure: $30.91 per hour

Mental Health Clinician III - Licensure: $32.72 per hour

This position is eligible for quarterly productivity incentives.
