We are looking for an Accounting Clerk who is searching to do what they'll love - Store Inventory Control Do you have experience in working in a retail environment? Do you love food? Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified person has at least 1 to 2 years of retail work experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, California.

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for:

* Reconciling store inventories and posting selected store inventory results.
* Providing store support for inventory related issues.
* Performing inventory related journal entries and month-end accruals as needed.
* Preparing monthly account reconciliations and analysis.


* Streamlining processes, identifying efficiency opportunities where available and making recommendations.
* Providing assistance with tasks and backup when needed to other accounting crew members
* Completing other projects or tasks as assigned.


* Working collaboratively with other departments.

The qualified person has:

* 1 to 2 years' experience working in a retail environment.
* Previous General Ledger work experience preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
* The ability to dig into the details to research and reconcile accounts.


* Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
