Primary Responsibilities:

* This Master File Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining all of the Master Files - including carrier files, control cards, BFE third party mnemonic definition, reject code edit file, billing in process (BIP), edit file menu, response code mapping, and claim development table
* Implement new carriers in the Quest Billing System (QBS)
* Actively participate in QBS conversions and integrations
* Provide technical support and training to Revenue Services Analysts and other billing operations personnel. Work with IT to develop system enhancements relative to billing
* Perform weekly audits of Master Files
* Work closely with all levels of staff at both centralized and decentralized business units

Required Qualifications:

* 2+ years of laboratory healthcare billing experience
* Proficient with Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents), Microsoft Access (pulling queries), Microsoft Excel (general navigation of spreadsheets, data entry and sorting data) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Quest Billing (QBS) and or Billing Front End (BFE) systems is highly desired
* 3+ years laboratory billing or 3rd party billing experience
* Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written
* Able to handle multiple tasks & meet deadlines within standards
* Work within a team environment as well as unsupervised

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
