The Payroll Systems Administrator will serve as a subject matter specialist with respect to the management, use and maintenance of the Payroll IS system (Ceridian Dayforce) and Automated Timekeeping system. This position will support and improve payroll processing by using technical expertise and prior experience and will create and maintain reports and metrics out of the Ceridian Dayforce and Timekeeping databases.

Some Essential Functions of Position:
      • Manage the applications and all aspects of the Timekeeping system and Ceridian Dayforce to improve business processes, improve workforce productivity and enhance day-to-day operations.
      • Generate, maintain, and run ad-hoc and pre-established payroll reports out of Ceridian Dayforce and Timekeeping system using queries, crystal, NVision, and other reporting tools.
      • Create new reports, dashboards and data views.
      • Responsible for all updates in Timekeeping System, not limited to the following:
        • Managing the environment
        • Implementing new capabilities
        • Configuring pay rules
        • Organizational mapping
        • Work rules
        • Staffing assignments
      • Participation in the Bi-weekly payroll processes, by ensuring the Timekeeping approvals and sign offs are completed on a timely basis, and by uploading the Timekeeping information into Ceridian Dayforce.
      • Generation of reports on a per period, weekly, or other basis, with analysis of data.
      • Backup to other Payroll department members, as necessary.
      • Assist with payroll audits.
      • Other duties as assigned by Sr. Manager of Payroll Services.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business related field with a minimum of 3 years related experience, with IT component, or 5 years of Payroll experience with increasing Payroll related responsibilities & IT component required.
  • Experience and proven track record in working with the following:
    • T-SQL for reporting
    • Reporting tools, including SSRS
    • PowerBI
    • Advance knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel
  • Experience with financial applications preferred, specifically Ceridian Dayforce and any notable Timekeeping system.
  • Experience with web-based resources to research payroll issues.
  • Detailed understanding of payroll reports/registers.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Communication and organization skills.
