General Summary of Position
Unit HighlightsThe Senior Director role offers a significantopportunity for advancement, transitioning from managerial or directorialpositions with oversight over multiple units. It entails a delicate balancebetween strategic planning and operational management, while also focusing onmentoring and nurturing the growth of reporting leaders. Direct reporting tothe Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) entails a high level of responsibility andinteraction with the executive team, system leaders, and various disciplines.Strong budgetary knowledge and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.As part of a Magnet hospital committed to a High Reliability Organization (HRO)model, the role emphasizes innovation and evolving care models to enhancenursing and patient outcomes. Preferably, candidates possess perioperativeexperience for a smoother transition. The scope of responsibilities encompassesoutpatient services within the acute care environment, including the emergencydepartment, perioperative services, vascular lab, and behavioral health units.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing or in health-related field required. Doctoral degree in Nursing leadership or in Health Services Administration preferred.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible leadership roles in nursing, including director of nursing (or equivalent) or above experience.
  • Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required. Certification in Nursing Administration from a nationally recognized nursing organization such as NEA-BC or CENP within one year.
