The Texas A&M School of Nursing is looking for a Clinical Teaching Assistant to serve as a member of the Round Rock team. Serves as a Clinical Teaching Assistant to faculty in the Texas A&M University School of Nursing. Works under the supervision of a Master's or Doctorally prepared nursing faculty member primarily in the clinical setting. Assists nursing faculty with the supervision of students during clinical learning experiences.

Schedule: This is a part-time position.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire's experience.

Required Education:

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing.



Required Experience:

* At least one year experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care/hospital setting.



Required Licenses and Certifications:

* Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Clinical expertise to function effectively and safely in the designated area of teaching.


* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


* Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with other.


* Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.



Preferred Education:

* Master of Science in Nursing.



Preferred Experience:

* Three years of experience as Registered Nurse.



Responsibilities:

* Supervision of Students: Functions in the role of clinical supervisor. Assisting faculty with the supervision of students' skills performance, student evaluation, and other aspects of student learning in the clinical setting.


* Clinical Setting: Consults with a nursing faculty member in clinical settings. Occasional classroom assistance may be requested for activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
