McCarthy Building Companies is looking for skilled Fiber Technicians for our Renewable Energy projects. This will be to support a number of the utility scale solar plants we have.

Responsibilities:

* Installation of fiber splice enclosures
* Outside plant fiber optic cable slicing, to include both loose tube fiber and ribbon fiber
* Fusion Splicing
* Unidirectional and bidirectional fiber testing
* Light Level Testing, OLTS
* Fiber troubleshooting and repair, test report generation.
* Coordinate daily crew activities and work schedule
* Maintaining a safe and quality work site and location
* Maintain Fiber equipment and tools
* Daily inspection of all equipment assigned to crew
* Maintain daily production rates
* Ensure work is conducted in a safe manner and according to company safety and OSHA practices

Requirements

* 3-5 years of experienced preferred but will consider less based on Fiber Experience
* Knowledge of industry testing equipment- OTDR, OLTS, Fluke, Etc.
* Category cable termination and testing a plus
* BICSI, CORNING, FOA CFOT, OSHA Certification a Plus
* Travel required
