Are you an experienced leader that can manage a homeless outreach team that navigates houseless individuals through needs assessments with a trauma-informed lens towards diversion and/or housing placement? Are you knowledgeable of social services in Clark County and passionate about connecting people to these resources? Are you able to assist employees with de-escalation and problem-solving skills that support the houseless community? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Outreach Supervisor position

The Council for the Homeless (CFTH) operates the Housing Solutions Center (HSC), our community's one-stop access point for over 40 housing assistance programs, including emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, and programs designed for specific populations such as families or unaccompanied youth. Our Outreach team works with participants in the field to assess their housing needs and connect them to their best fit housing solution, as well as connect them to services in the community that will help them on their journey toward safe and stable housing. The Outreach Supervisor provides supervision to the Outreach team and assists with the coordination of this system across Clark County.

Your skills and experience will directly serve our community as you:
  • Work collaboratively with the Coordinated Entry Systems Manager to coordinate with partners providing outreach services.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day oversite of the coordinated outreach efforts and staff in Clark County.
  • Maintains strong boundaries among participants and staff while maintaining a positive work atmosphere with excellent customer service and a focus on being trauma informed, participant centered and increasing equity.
  • Assist in the monitoring and development of systems to monitor outreach outcomes.
  • Assist with the facilitation of case consultation with partners i.e. Built for Zero and By Name List meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners to advocate and educate the community of street outreach and coordinated entry systems.
  • Assist in the interviewing, candidate selection, hiring, orientation process, performance evaluation, new hire training, and ongoing training to CFTH Outreach team.

Pay and Benefits
  • The starting salary for this position is $29.91 per hour. The full salary range for this position is $29.91 - $35.89 per hour.
  • Full-time, non-exempt position working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. May be required to work a few hours on weekends and holidays when needed.
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance for the employee only.
  • Benefits package also includes 10.39% paid into WA PERS by employer, 12 company paid holidays, and generous paid time off and separate sick time accrual.

Requirements

  • At least two years' experience providing resources to people experiencing homelessness.
  • Commitment to ensuring there is equitable access to the local homeless crisis response system for all.
  • Two years' supervisory experience.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and fostering a strong team-oriented work environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to automobile required.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Lived experience as someone who is low-income, homeless and/or in recovery.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Speaks a language(s) other than English and reflects our diverse community.
  • Experience with working on or supervising a street outreach team.
  • Experience using HMIS or other databases.
  • Knowledge of Clark County resources and agencies that serve people experiencing homelessness.
