Day Shift

* Position Summary
* Under general supervision, performs routine tasks including painting (all surfaces), light construction, minor repairs & maintenance on equipment, and installation of basic wall protection. Also performs minor millwork modifications, ceiling tile replacements/basic grid repairs, and door maintenance. Responsible for completing all assigned Work Orders on a timely basis. Schedule or perform routine and urgent services at multiple MMC campuses if needed.

* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Education: High School education or GED preferred. Building trade education preferred.


* License/Certifications: N/A


* Experience: 3-5 years of applicable experience in an institution desirable.


* Knowledge of basic woodworking, painting, wall repair, and drywall taping.


* Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when preparing surfaces.


* Ability to lift, push, walk and stand for extended periods of time.


* Ability to safely operate table and radial saws, sander and mixers, and other hand held devices to help complete assigned work.


* Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain cooperative working relationships with other hospital employees.


* Work requires ability to use electronic devices such as various hand held and desktop platforms to complete daily activities.
