Plant Maintenance Electrician

We are hiring an experienced Plant Maintenance Electrician. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in electrical work and preferably hold an electrical license. In this role, you will maintain and repair industrial machinery and equipment. You will also be required to troubleshoot and diagnose any issues that may arise. Under general supervision, you will perform skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic systems, fixtures, appliances, and control equipment and perform related work as required.

Responsibilities will include:

* Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment
* Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machinery and equipment
* Performing preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
* Ensuring that machinery and equipment are operating safely and efficiently
* Collaborating with other members of the maintenance team to resolve complex issues
* Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations
* Determine the existence of electrical hazards and problems. Safely isolate, ground, and prepare circuits and electrical apparatus to enable repairs.
* Have knowledge of and use the required personal protective equipment to protect against arc flash and shock
* Troubleshoot and maintain motor control centers, motor start circuits, control loops, generators, high voltage switch gear, protective relaying, and related equipment
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and manuals to install, calibrate, and maintain electrical apparatus. Work from complex engineering and manufacturing drawings or manuals to complete projects and assigned work
* Install and maintain control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and control panels
* Observe installed systems to detect hazards and determine the need for adjustments or modifications
* Use a computerized maintenance system to retrieve and enter information
* Assist in establishing and maintaining scheduled maintenance programs for plant equipment. Maintain records, update drawing and develop safety procedures

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or maintenance
* Strong electrical skills and experience working with wiring, circuits, and PLCs
* Familiarity with mechanical systems and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Electrical license is preferred.
