Shift Details: FT or PT available - 2-5 shifts per week

Schedule: Overnights: 10pm-8am

* Four weekend shifts per month required
* Wednesdays from 8:30am-11:30am for team meetings required

Compensation: $18.50/hr (plus $1/hr shift premium for overnights and weekends)

Potential for wage increases every six months with positive performance.

About the job:

As an Overnight Residential Counselor, you will make measurable difference in demonstrating and equipping the youths with tools, skills, and hope.

Essentials:

* Be responsible for providing direct care and continuous supervision to residential clients
* Partner with the entire residential team to provide a therapeutic environment for clients
* Provide basic counseling, co-facilitate groups, and assist clients in daily skills practice
* Provide crisis intervention when needed (including de-escalation strategies and safety holds)
* Participate in person-centered treatment and/or service planning for clients through observation, intervention, documentation, and providing feedback in regard to client progress
* Attend mandatory team meetings for continuity of care and effective service delivery
* Stock supplies and maintain organization and cleanliness as needed on campus
* Administer medications

Required Qualifications

* Must be 18 years of age or older
* Must pass criminal background checks
* Strong desire to work with children and adolescents experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or chemical health concerns
* A current and valid Driver's license with minimal violations on record preferred
* Experience with adolescents in residential/hospital setting preferred

Youth Residential Shelter Program

The ShelterPlus Program at Bar None exists to provide a trauma-informed living environment for male and female adolescents ages of 11-17 years old who are facing a disruption in housing due to family crisis, behavior difficulties, and/or other need for out of home placement. The program specifically emphasizes on skills development for youth and their families to stabilize and manage emotional and behavioral difficulties faced in preparation for change in their lives. Goals of the program are inclusive of challenging youth to create a new vision by giving them respect, instilling values, developing skills, and enhancing self-worth.

Youth Residential Treatment Program

Omegon is a co-educational residential treatment facility which offers trauma-informed services for male and female adolescents, ages 12 through 17, who are experiencing serious emotional, social and/or behavioral difficulties, and/or history of chemical use. The Omegon program offers group, individual, and family therapies, as well as chemical health counseling, in addition to health-oriented recreational, independent living skill activities, and specialized milieu groups. Our treatment program is guided by psychiatric, psychological, educational, and family system evaluations to ensure treatment plans are individualized and person-centered.
