Job Title: Phone/Medical Receptionist

Department: Family Practice

Reports to: Office Supervisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a full -time Phone Receptionist our Family Practice office in Wesley Chapel. Candidate must have 1 year experience working in a medical field.
bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year experience working in a medical office desired.

Keys to Success in this Role:
  • Update patient demographics
  • Schedule follow-up appointments
  • Prepare referrals and authorizations for Managed Care patients
  • Assist providers and patients at the conclusion of the visit
  • Perform incidental duties as needed

Job Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Previous Customer Service experience
  • 1 year of related experience required

Physical and Mental Demands:
  • Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Experience in a medical setting is preferred

Occupational Exposure:
  • Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
