Description
Charleston County Public Works Department is looking for a highly motivated, personable individual to join our team This position is part of our Customer Service team and will be the initial point of contact for the Department.

Hiring Hourly: $20.62

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties Include:
- Greet and route citizens/customers visiting the department
- Answer, screen, and route incoming telephone calls appropriately
- Assisting external and internal customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Enter, monitor, and close service requests using a departmental work management system
- Assist external and internal customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Type/Edit correspondence or other departmental documents
- Maintaining supply room and ordering supplies as needed
- Performing other directly related duties as needed
- May be designated to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Position requires a high school diploma (or GED), supplemented with prior customer service experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to operate a personal computer with proficiency in Microsoft Office and proprietary software
