Summary:

Our Dome Technicians ensure in-house presentation facilities are optimized to provide Cosm-worthy experiences. This role is a member of the Product Ops Team, and will work alongside many other Cosm teams, including Broadcast, Marketing, Sales, Software Engineering, Studios, and others. Our Dome Technicians implement and drive custom presentations that help everyone understand who and what Cosm is.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure demonstration hardware and software is in a constant state of readiness
* Maintain comprehensive systems knowledge to support special events, visiting artists, and guests
* Monitor scheduled events/demonstrations and proactively coordinate with stakeholders
* Assist in development of operational playbooks and training materials
* Systems Maintenance
* Log and track issues across all systems
* Perform Windows PC backups and preventive maintenance
* LED module removal and replacement, spares tracking
* Monitor and maintain audio system and basic DMX lighting


* Demo & Studios team support
* Load, test, and verify content
* Operate our presentation systems for internal and external guests
* Assist remote teams with quality and performance analysis


* Support Product Development, Engineering and Broadcast teams
* Assist QA teams in validating new software releases
* Document and report hardware and software issues
* Participate in root cause analysis



Experience:

* High proficiency working with Windows OS and Windows PC technology
* Excellent communication and presentation/public speaking skills
* Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative
* Bonus Experience
* Basic media production skills
* Basic coding skills, javascript is a plus
* Theatrical, broadcast, or other live performance experience
* Interest in Astronomy and/or related sciences


* Must be able to lift up to 45lbs
* Must be able to safely climb structures and work, briefly, in elevated positions
* Must be able to work during live events, with high noise levels, and busy environments
* On-the-job training will be provided for technically unique aspects of this role
* This is a full-time, on-site role, and will require occasional weekend and evening event support

The pay range for this position in California is $26.00-$35.00 The base rate offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
