Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Routinely check lights, restrooms, and other areas of the facility and address issues as needed. May be asked to coordinate work orders with various contractors. Assist various trades performing on-site work. Perform minor repairs including but not limited to drywall repair, painting, general maintenance duties and conference room set-ups. Perform housekeeping duties to ensure a safe working environment.
* Clean, oil, grease, change filters, etc. on facility equipment in a proactive manner to avoid future equipment failures. Water treatment of high and low pressure vessel systems. Record and interpret water treatment readings. Make chemical adjustments as needed.
* Retrieve issues from the computerized database, carry out work orders to completion and close work orders.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

* Ability to use various power and hand tools
* Ability to understand standard / metric units of measure
* Ability to plan each job in order to determine tools, equipment and materials necessary
* Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine solutions
* Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance
* Ability to work at various heights which necessitates the use of ladders and scaffolding
* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporaries
* Excellent customer service skills required
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to prioritize and organize work
* Ability to operate a fork truck and pallet jack
* Ability to operate scissor lifts
* Ability to perform lockout / tag-out 
* Select, wear, adjust, use and maintain personal protective equipment and apparel
* Ability to obtain DMV clearance in order to drive company owned vehicles
* Proficient at typing and basic computer skills

Education and Experience Required:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* 12 months of maintenance or related experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

* Technical school or additional technical training certification
* Associates degree in facility maintenance, or related field

This position requires the ability to flex between 1st and 2nd shift as necessary
