Data Entry Clerk (Hybrid Position)

This is a temporary position, expected to end in October/November of 2024

Hours: Full-Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

LaJoy Group Inc. is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to enter data into software and assist with office administrative tasks. Administrative tasks will be required to be completed in office. This is a full-time position some flexibility on start and end times.

Essential Tasks:
  • Data Entry: review confidential documents for accuracy and/or discrepancies and enter data into software or excel spreadsheet. Work with team members on errors to ensure a resolution is documented.
  • Administrative Tasks: Audit paper forms and file in the appropriate location.
  • Additional Tasks: As assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience in payroll or billing preferred.

3. Two to four years in a similar role with administrative experience, payroll and/or billing preferred. High level of computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Products.

4. Previous experience handling confidential, or HIPAA protected information preferred.

5. Highly developed communication skills, written, listening and speaking.

6. Proven skills in typing accuracy and attention to detail.

7. This job requires a criminal background check. Convictions and pending felony charges are not an absolute bar to employment and will only be considered if required by law or there is a substantial relationship to the circumstances of the particular job or if bond ability is at issue.
