JOB PURPOSE:

Serves as a senior administrative leader for the Cardiovascular (CV) service line and collaborates with entity leadership to provide direction and leadership to achieve superior clinical outcomes, patient/family centered care and optimal business performance. Provides leadership, direction and overall administrative management for the cardiovascular program at the Atlanta campus to including CV Imaging, Rehab, PHI OR, EP & Cath Labs, Admit Recovery Units, Advanced Heart Failure, Heart Transplant, and Perfusion.

Oversee and analyze data to drive quality throughout the service line. Develops and implements strategic planning initiatives while developing internal and external relationships to maximize the service line's effectiveness and facilitates problem solving across organizational units that support services provided. Fosters a culture of safety, quality and ownership at every level to ensure superior patient care is received.

Leads and manages the CV management team focused on promoting the mission, vision and values of Piedmont Healthcare Corporation (PHC) and the Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), implementing processes to meet goals and objectives and delivering value driven outcomes in all areas of responsibility.

Serves as a member of the PHI and PAH Leadership Teams, and serves as the administrative dyad to PHI Physician leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manages and achieves fiscal responsibilities for the cardiovascular division, setting budgets and FY targets for procedural volumes, quality outcomes and operational efficiencies.

2. Leads human resources and staff management to include providing direction to all levels of staff in cardiovascular division.

3. Directs operations for the cardiovascular division to ensure that quality patient care is provided to each patient in accordance with established standards of care, practice and performance, and hospital policies and procedures.

4. Leads in development and implementation of strategic direction for cardiovascular services. Participates in the planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation of PHC's mission, vision, values and strategic direction.

5. Directs clinical services and program management. Collaborates with clinical services in the development and implementation of like-services across PHC.

6. Partners and collaborates with PHI physicians

* Skill and ability in Microsoft Office applications.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare, customer service/hospitality, administration, business or a related field required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

7 years of relevant operations experience including five (5) years of leadership experience in a large organization, preferably in a healthcare environment.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

MBA, MSN, MHA or other advanced degree preferred.
