Amazon Web Services (AWS) Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems. The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Within WWSO, this position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, where you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing In-Memory architectures leveraging AWS services. In-Memory DB Specialist Solutions Architect will work closely with the Database Services team, Business Development and Sales to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption and revenue of AWS. You will work with the largest companies in the world to design flexible and cost-effective cloud-based solutions. You will develop whitepapers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AWS services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help other SA’s understand how to integrate AWS caching services into customer architectures. As a trusted advisor and strategic leader with technical expertise in In-Memory/NoSQL database systems, you will share recommendations around security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate building key data solutions and applications on AWS for our customers.

- 5+ years experience in In-memory data architectures.
- 5+ years of technical experience in NoSQL Database and OpenSource technologies
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
- AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
- Computer Science /relevant degree and/or experience highly desired
- Basic fluency in Spanish preferred
