Beacon Services of Connecticut is one of the state's largest providers of home-based, Early Intervention/Birth to Three specialty services. Our practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of young children with developmental delays. BCBA’s work as part of a multi-disciplinary team whose goal is to provide access to evidence-based interventions for families across CT. We place a high value on training and supporting our clinicians so they may thrive and grow in their roles.
*Job Description*
Our LBA’s provide services for families and children referred within the Birth to Three system. They are responsible for the evaluation of a child's skills across a variety of developmental domains and use that information to develop and implement intervention services. LBAs work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide targeted, evidence-based interventions, as well as assist families with the transition to school-based services. They also supervise and support early intervention staff.
*Overview of Responsibilities*
* Perform home-based intake visits and evaluations with potential clients
* Support the development and implementation of individual goals and objectives documented on an Individual Family Service Plan
* Provide supervision to paraprofessional staff
* Oversee the development of written guidelines for behavior interventions, teaching plans, and programs
* Provide coaching/training to families supporting the generalization of techniques and skills
* Complete administrative responsibilities in order to meet funder requirements.
* Participate in weekly team meetings.

* Strong communication skills to confidently explain information and guide families and caregivers
* Strong organizational skills to manage daily duties
* Self-confidence to take the initiative in supporting families and collaborating with colleagues
* Familiarity and comfort working with technology based solutions
*Working Conditions*
Clinicians work primarily in family homes within a specific geographic region in the state.
Employees have the flexibility to make their own schedules.

*Qualifications:*
* PhD or masters in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
* Current BCBA certification or eligible
* Current Connecticut licensure or eligible
* Experience or desire to work with young children and families
