Position: Managing Director of Investments

Role Overview:

The Managing Director of Investments will oversee the full lifecycle of the investment process, from strategy formulation and deal sourcing to execution and portfolio management. This senior leadership position will play a critical role in identifying and capitalizing on strategic opportunities within the rapidly evolving AI infrastructure landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

???? Develop and execute a comprehensive investment strategy focusing on AI infrastructure and related high-growth sectors.

???? Lead deal sourcing, due diligence, and structuring of investment opportunities to align with AIIPs strategic vision.

???? Drive negotiations and ensure successful deal closures, overseeing the process from initial engagement through final execution.

???? Collaborate with AIIP's leadership to refine investment theses and ensure alignment with market dynamics and long-term goals.

???? Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including co-investors, strategic partners, and portfolio company leadership teams.

???? Provide mentorship and guidance to investment team members, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.

Ideal Background:

  • Extensive experience in private equity, with a proven track record in tech sector investments.
  • Prior focus on AI infrastructure or semiconductor industries is highly desirable.
  • Past leadership roles at top-tier private equity firms or in strategic investment divisions of major technology companies.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing and managing large-scale, complex transactions within high-growth markets.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in private equity or strategic investments, with a focus on technology or infrastructure assets.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation capabilities, financial acumen, and the ability to build and maintain high-level relationships.
  • Attributes: Visionary leadership with a proactive approach to identifying emerging opportunities and driving value creation.
