This position is specifically for a Functional Line Manager to lead a multi-discipline organization of Whole Life Engineers (WLE) in program support and development of Qualification, Reliability, Testability, Maintainability, Safety, Human Factors and Sustainment products for protected Satellite Communications (SATCOM). This position leads an organization responsible for the design, implementation and conduct of a variety of environmental test programs. Candidates will be managing Engineering Laboratories and will be expected to provide recommendations and solutions as well as acquire/analyze test data to a variety of technical problem of appropriate scope and complexity and works autonomously or in small groups. Candidates should also have experience in a variety of test equipment included but not limited to, thermal chamber, vibration and shock dynamic test systems and controllers.

What You Will Do
• Mentoring employees
• Performing weekly timecard approvals
• Review team's products to ensure they meet internal & external customer requirements
• Conducting yearly performance appraisals and mid-year reviews
• Approving of expense reports
• Writing status reports

Qualifications You Must Have
• 8+ years of experience in an Engineering/Project management role
• Understanding of quality processes which leads to successfully certification with AS 9100/ISO 9001, ANSI Z540-1, ISO 17025
• Ability to take an analytical approach and utilize technical knowledge to solve challenges with optimal solutions
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance or HIGHER REQUIRED
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
