Field Service EngineersKey Responsibilities:Plan and coordinate activities related to installing equipment; investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment; and eliminating future operational or service difficultiesInstall new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specificationsReview and maintain records of performance reports and documentation from customers and field representativesProvide Customer Service and/or other personnel with hands-on technical assistance for troubleshooting and repairing equipment so as to expedite the processInspect malfunctioning and/or damaged products, determine the source of the problem, recommend corrective actions and coordinate problem resolution with the Engineering DepartmentDevelop and conduct training on safe operation of equipment, as well as demonstrate skills to trainees including team members and customersExperience/Qualifications:Experience with vacuum and/or atmosphere furnaces is requiredPrior heat treatment experience preferredElectrical skills preferred (much be able to read electrical drawings and perform field wiring)Hydraulic and pneumatic experience preferredExperience with database software (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, VacuProf), internet software, spreadsheet software and PLC programming is preferredAbility to analyze reports to determine trends and recommend modifications; provide a communication link between the customer and company; and keep daily records, such as service reports, expenses and travel scheduleEducation:Two-year college or technical school degree, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, is requiredAdvanced technical education, or combination of education and experience, will be consideredExperience in closely related equipment requiring the same skillsets will be considered
