Responsibilities:

THE TEAM:
AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. Our primary objective is to design exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences, serving as the cornerstone for enterprise Data Centers, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Embedded systems. THE ROLE:

As the Technical Program Manager specializing in System Management Firmware, you will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of firmware that is used to manage systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams within the organization, including engineering, product management, quality assurance, and manufacturing, to ensure that firmware development and delivery meet the needs of the organization and of our customers.

THE PERSON:

  • Strong communication skills, from executive-level status reporting to working level technical discussions.
  • Strong technical program management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex programs.
  • Ability to get results in a large, matrixed organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate cross-functional teams to plan and execute the development of firmware for system management.
Develop project plans, track progress against milestones, and communicate status to management and other stakeholders.
Work with engineering teams to identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans.
Collaborate with product management to ensure that firmware development aligns with product requirements
Ensure that firmware development and delivery adhere to quality standards and compliance requirements.
Work with manufacturing teams to ensure successful firmware installation and integration.
Contribute to the development of the overall firmware strategy and roadmap.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

At least 5 years of experience managing firmware development projects.
Strong understanding of system management firmware and its associated development frameworks.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
Ability to analyze technical problems and develop creative solutions.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications:

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
