Lead Welder/Foreman

Job Description:
We are a small welding and construction company in San Antonio, TX. We specialize in gates, fences, carports, and staircases but do our best to take on any job that comes through our doors. We need someone who is adaptive, experienced, and a team player. This position will require 10 years of recent welding leadership experience. You also must be able to work in the shop and on location with the ability to withstand the Texas weather. You must be able to stand and remain active the duration of your shift. You must have a valid TX driver's license and valid liability auto insurance. We do our best to be a turn-key company so, the ideal candidate will be okay with anything from demolition or digging holes, to installation and painting.
Normal hours are Monday- Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the occasional overtime opportunity. Some jobs may require Saturday labor. Travel may also be required. We do not travel out of state and arrangements will be discussed as the needs arise.
Starting pay will be between $20-$26 per hour. You will be paid bi-weekly via direct deposit. The exact rate will be determined based on the skill level shown during the weld test.
Must haves:
- MUST know how to weld using MIG & Stick.
- MUST HAVE 5-10 years job applied welding experience
- MUST be willing to work in shop and field.
- MUST know fabrication i.e, angles, measurements.
- Must be able to complete tasks in timely manner without being instructed or monitored.
- Must be able to work efficiently alone and with other crew members.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License, current automobile liability insurance and reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to work weekends and extended hours when needed.
- Must have leadership skills
Every applicant will have to take a welding test and pass to be eligible for hire.References from previously verified employers will be accepted.
