Highway Materials, Inc.-Construction Division is currently seeking an Asphalt Paving Foreman for the 2024 construction season. Our hiring needs include Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, York, Lancaster and Lehigh Counties. (Please note that applicants will not be assigned to one particular county; they will be required to travel to the various construction projects in the general geographic area).

Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of resources including equipment, labor, supplies and subcontractors
  • Monitoring cost control, quality, productivity, and safety on projects
  • Tracking/reporting of quantities and employee hours daily
  • Training, disciplining, and providing positive reinforcement to operators, drivers, and laborers as necessary

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience as Asphalt Paving Foreman
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in PennDOT or other DOT/Municipal work
  • Demonstrated experience supervising/managing crew
  • Demonstrated experience in all the tools and equipment used in demolishing, building and repairing road surfaces
  • Familiarity with both State & Federal Traffic Regulations/Guidelines
  • Ability to adapt and work, either dayshift or nightshift dependent upon the requirements of individual projects.
  • Valid Driver's License with a Motor Vehicle Record that meets the requirements of company policy
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • NECEPT Certification preferred
  • Ability to withstand physical demands associated with heavy highway construction
  • Ability to adapt and work in extreme weather temperatures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for repetitious lifting while using proper lifting techniques
