Loan Operations Analyst/Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reconciling various general loan ledges daily, processing SBA 1502 reports, and conducting annual escrow analysis for the mortgage loans portfolio.
- Process and review loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Gather and verify loan application materials, including tax returns, financial statements, and credit reports.
- Underwrite loans according to established guidelines.
- Communicate with borrowers and other internal departments to clarify discrepancies and collect missing information.
- Prepare loan closing documents and ensure all legal requirements are met.
- Maintain accurate loan files and databases.
- Analyze loan data and identify potential risks.
- Generate reports on loan processing activities and portfolio performance.
- Assist with the implementation of process improvements and new loan programs.
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant loan industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in business, finance, accounting, or formalized lending programs such as through American or Maryland Bankers Associations. HS Diploma or equivalent and an additional two years of direct experience may be considered instead of a degree.
- Minimum five years of loan servicing or related job experience in the financial industry.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, external vendors, and third parties.
- Knowledge of General Ledger balancing and everyday banking transactions.
- Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be detail-oriented, and be committed to a high level of data integrity and accuracy.
