Service Area: We service the general Birmingham area; from Bessemer up to Gardendale, down to Alabaster, and as far east as Lincoln.

  • Position: CAREGIVER for various shifts.
  • Hour rate: $14-$15/hr typically, with some $18/hr cases.
  • Location depends on the client's place of residence.

Happier At Home is looking for compassionate, patient caregivers who would like to make a difference in the life of a Senior. We provide non-medical in-home assistance to our clients while enabling them to stay at home and be as independent as possible.

Caregivers help with a variety of daily activities, which may include:
  • Meal planning and preparation.
  • Transportation, shopping & errands.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Laundry and linen changes.
  • Companionship & socialization.
  • Mental stimulation.
  • Encouragement/monitoring of exercises.
  • Respite care for family caregivers.
  • Bathing.
  • Positioning, transferring, or ambulation.
  • Dressing & grooming.
  • Toileting & incontinence care.

Requirements:
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must have YOUR OWN RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
  • CNA License is a plus, but not required.

This is a Part-Time position, and the hours vary in time frame. We provide services anywhere from 1hr to 24hrs, 7 days a week.

Drug Screenings, Criminal Background Checks, and Motor Vehicular Checks will be completed at orientation.
